The bookies had Katie as a clear favourite for that match. My main concern now is that the options for tournaments during August are quite limited at this level. She is Q23 for Lexington. If she decides to wait to see if she can get a place as an onsite alt is it her original entry ranking or ranking at that time that will be used? Failing that she may have to scavenge points at W35 level for a few weeks. I don't really like to see players of Katie's calibre do that too many times but if there isn't anything else available to her then needs must. I think a real push in September would see her into AQ qualies.
Swan now placed as 3rd Alt for Landisville W100 the week after Lexington, if I'm not mistaken.
She withdrew from Landisville on 17/07 - this is before the withdrawal deadline, and she would have been around 103 Alt at this point. She's still listed for Lexington, but at 22nd alt (not Q23)
She's also on the list for the W35 atSouthaven for 04 August at 13th alt prior to the withdrawal deadline, with a lot of players above her likely to withdraw.

Ahh, my bad. Thanks for the insight, TA. I'll delete my original post to avoid further confusion.
A very handy website for checking players entries is https://itf-entries.netlify.app/#/ It scans the entry lists and shows where players are entered, and also shows withdrawals. Obviously it should be cross-checked against the tournaments in case it is out of date, but very useful.
Katie withdrew from Landisville today. Although she was the 3rd player listed in the alt list, that didn't mean she was 3rd alt. As she was listed out of ranking order and their was no alt position number showing, this indicates she was entered as main draw only - highly optimistic. I do wish the itf would sort their software out to indicate more clearly main draw only, special ranking, Junior Accelerator and College Accelerator entries on the acceptance lists.
Interesting. When I looked an hour or so ago it showed her as withdrawing on the 17th. And yes, the ITF need to sort their software out as anomalies like this happen frequently.

Thanks for the weblink TA, as you say quite a handy web resource. It also has a new feature showing by-week tournament strength (in terms of avg. WTN of the players entered in the various categories [main draw, qualifying] for each tournament) displayed in a colour-graded matrix. Possibly could be improved by sorting by surface too?
