Francesca came back strongly to win 6-2 3-6 6-3

Excellent - lovely win over a ranked player

She's at Mercer, I think, in the US

And well done to Indy Spink too

Francesca was at mercer, 21/22 anyway, but for a while has been at Bath Uni, playing in BUCS 24/25 at least.

Tx, spireman

3hrs and 30 mins - and finally Summer Yardley gets the better of Fran Simpson

(mind you, half of those 3 hrs 30 mins was probably Summer bouncing the ball before her serve......)

Great win for Mia

And a rather amusing end

It's deuce, Margot P serves, the ball is a bit loopy, might go long, might drop in, probably going long, but maybe not....Mia pops it back, Margot ignores the ball, assuming it's out, no call, pause, Mia walks to the ad-court, point won, second MP....

Which she then takes, forcing an error

 that was tense watching

Amelie had a lot of MPs - I'd lost count - and the Slovakian girl was mixing it up well - hitting hard and then looping it up
