Just like old times!
Is it though? The ATP website has Liam and Kyle playing against each other twice - already in 2025 and then a long way back in 2012.

That is interesting re just playing twice and probably never at their respective primes. But probably Chris meant in terms of two old stagers playing each other, if we can call them that!
12 of the last 16 here are British players. Great chance for a few of them to get a little rankings boost.
Maybe a couple of challenger 50's at other times of the season instead of a M25 or two, might work - many of our players are now in the CH50 ranking range to get into one of these events and benefit. Realise the draw may not be so soft outside the grass season etc but even if we had half the number of players of the 20 in the main draw here, it could be beneficial. Or not even replace the M25 events, just put on a couple of challengers at he 50 level?

Yes, probably is meant like that. I just thought it interesting that they hadn't really played each other.

definitely, surprised me that they didnt have a few more matches in their backgrounds, probably around the 2015 - 2020 era
Absolutely stoked for Liam - feared the worst when the draw was made. Maybe this can kickstart the comeback
I sure hope so. I felt so bad for him last season, finally having cracked the top 100 late in 2023 only to almost instantly endure the biggest injury crisis of his career and tumble all the way back down the mountain. I hoped to see him make steady progress back to where he was this season but his schedule has been a little bit puzzling at times and has been compounded by some quite poor luck, which I thought had caught him out again with the Grenier draw in round 1.
