So, the unfancied (except by Jon) ALTs prevail against the top seeds, by 6-7(2) 7-6(5) 7-6(11-9) - & the first part of his prediction comes true. What a battle, with no quarter given!  Yet another top quality match, which lasted a minute shy of three hours.

I only watched the final set but boy, yes. Great match. That little single handed backhand across court early in the TB by Rinky, who is double handed normally, marvellous!

I REALLY hope my second part is wrong, I want Julian and Lloyd to make this final. Come on guys!

Playing so well, giving the opponents no chance at all

If the commentators have their info correct, it's the first time an all-British pair have reached the final since Mike Davis and Bobby Wilson in 1960!!

Yay, super by Julian & Lloyd !

Was a little concerning Jon's overall Wimbledon wins performance and him getting the first SF right.

Now that he has been shown to be still fallible I hope that his 38 overall wins prediction ( where we have got to now ) goes for a burton too and we end up with a nice round 40

It feels as though Lloyd's return game has come on hugely. I always felt like it was the weak link when he was with Harri, especially on the forehand, but it was looking great today.

What a year Julian and Lloyd are having. Title after title and now one win from the Wimby Men's Doubles title.
Makes you wish doubles would be shown more and marketed more especially as we have so many British players doing well in the top 100.
We should be shouting from the rooftops about an all British pair in the final since 1960. Not even seen an interview with these two. It seems so unfair for all the hard work they put in.
I will be willing them to victory on Saturday glued to the tv set.

Mens doubles final is before womens singles final tomorrow, at 1 pm. Cant recall if they did that last year but traditionally it was usually afterwards?

It's a first. Similar happening on Sunday.

Saturday: 1 pm - men's doubles final, 4 pm - women's singles final

Sunday: 1 pm - women's doubles final, 4 pm - men's singles final

The AELTC CE0 says it provides the "largest possible worldwide audience". It will be 11 am EST in New York when the singles finals are due to get under way.

It will be interesting to see how full Centre Court is for the doubles finals.

Its a bit like the atp finals at the O2. Actually, I prefer it as there often start the doubles finals to an empty set of stands. I hope its at least three quarters full for a British pair at 1 pm
