Week 26 - The Championships, Wimbledon (grass) - men's qualifying

A couple of rushed rather excited overhits puts Oliver *15-30 down. Inexperience?

Regroups well.

6-5*

Hamish through not in the way he would love... But he held on in there in a match he could've lost before the retirement so I guess his grit had something to do with it...

Crucial TB. I feel Oliver needs to win this here and now.

Wow!

Hamish definitely made his own luck there - Vacherot could have got it done half an hour earlier, but he saved so many bps.

Very useful guaranteed £26k in the bank and a shot at round 2

My thoughts exactly! Well outplayed, lucky the guy retired, but he couldve moaned gave up but battled held serve each game under pressure and you earn a bit of that luck by being there still biggrin

Quick question, is the square of the four courts with the banking on one side now numbers 3-6? I used to love sitting there as it's where the always put the Brits but I think they Courts 14-17 back then!

The Frenchman beat the q3, Cerúndolo, in straight sets.
