Riedi has grass pedigree, Surbiton final ( or win, cant remember) last year. And been on edge of top 100. Interesting match for Hamish .

Blockx former AO junior champ - he and Oli T could be very tight battle.

I don't like quoting exact odds but basically, according to the bookies, a Hamish win would be quite a surprise -- an upset.

The Oli situation is quite different -- Oli is an underdog but the issue is considered somewhat close.  An Oli loss is more likely than a win but an Oli win would not be particularly surprising either.

Riedi has had two knee surgeries since last September, and this is only his third tournament back. But he was a very promising young player.

Hamish to BBC reporter, whose name is refusing to stick in my memory (not Annabel Croft) & who asked him to explain the last few minutes of the match:  "Somehow I won!"  biggrin

I also saw that interview.  It was between Hamish and Abigail Johnson.

I know, but Pippa Horn is so distinctive (and not in a good way) that I recall it was her. But now can't find the interview.

I knew it was Abigail Somebody because Hamish said (something like) "Thanks, Abigail" at the end of the interview.
