Interesting. I knew they kept same nation players apart in juniors where possible but I didn't realise that about the Olympics.
They do it in every sport at the Olympics. You'll never see 2 Brits in the same 100m heat.
Its correct re the Olympics - Olympics is regarded as a nations thing, youre representing GB or USA or France or whomever; hence why they keep them apart, also why they limit players from each country
Im expecting one win for the men today- Jubby- hoping for two (Jubby plus Ive a gut feeling Ryan may have experience on his side against Landaluce); 3 would be a miracle to me, at least!

I have every faith in Ollie T being able to grind out a win for the college boys.

That would be great if he can and a real statement.

as Paulisi said - 8pts, then 16 and 25 for qualifying.Different for the ladies
It's nowadays 8, 16 and 30. I think it changed last year when there were changes to the MD round points for Slams ( to 10, 50, 100 ... ) and other tournaments.
With it being effectively 40 points for qualifying since the men would also get the MD R1 10 points if they lost then, they are really the same as the women for qualifying but markedly lower for 'just' winning QR1 and QR2.
The women's is 2 ( for losing in QR1 ), 20, 30, 40.

And young Oliver repays Lambda's confidence with a convincing win:
QR2: (qWC) Oliver Tarvet WR 719 defeated Alexis Galarneau (CAN) WR 210 by 3 & 2
Superb win for Ollie! What a justification of a very bold WC choice - full credit to the LTA and AELTC on that one. Looks like he'll be playing Belgian 29th seed Alexander Blockx in the FQR - it's not out of the question that he could win that one.
