I don't know why I've not thought of asking this before:
What do people think of having a discussio/chat-free 'Results Only' thread each week for results from all events that week be posted in as they happen?
My thinking is that this would allow us all to easily see in one place how all our players are doing without having to check each thread. I'm sure I'm not the only one who loves the discussions here but also is often too busy to keep up and misses things and has to keep going back to the entries and ranking pages to remember who is playing where etc?
I find the Who's got that Friday Feeling threads super helpful (thanks for posting those!) but would love if there were a way to see something like that daily.
I guess any such thread would rely on people who follow things closer than me being willing to post the results in that thread as well as where they normally post them but if enough people did it then it might prove helpful to a lot of people.
Or am I missing something that people already use to do this?

GBJ, I think this is a very good idea - I can see exactly how it would be useful - as a summary of what happened in British tennis today
I used to use stephen's charts for exactly that - he did them in colour - so all the greens were wins or whatever
But, yes, I could see you'd get to the end of the day and have a look and see all the women's results, say, just in a list, no real order, just posted as they came up
I honestly think it's a really good idea
The trouble with all new things like this is you need someone to really commit to it at the beginning - then it probably gets up and running and people will add and contribute and it'll happen
But you need that one person to kick start it
Honestly, my best 'advice' would be to wait for a time that you're a little less busy and then start either the men's or the women's, or a joint one in General tennis
I'd be 100% happy to add results etc
But I think you need to launch it and be there to run with it for a few weeks, at the start
Live tennis. Eu (LTR) has a filter on the app which allows you to look at matches coming up and results for each day - its separated for each of mens/womens singles and doubles. Theres a filter so you can see British only matches/ results. As the day goes by scores get updated and finalised for ATP/WTA and ITF.
If there was a way of linking to that, it is all there in one easy to read place. A person could just go there without having to repost all the results here? As CD says, it feels like a chunk of work and Im sure the likes of SC or TA wont want to be posting results in tournie threads and then in this new thread as well and duplicating the work?
Wouldnt a link to an already collated app be most effective ?
LTR does seem to have issues sometimes with ITF results, the above picture shows the Brits playing today in mens singles at ATP level. As results come in it updates. Obviously the above is just a photo insert, Im guessing there must be a way of linking to it from here?

I think this is an excellent idea. It is very hard for a board as excellent as this to be all things for all people. At times the discussions and banter can be great, on other occasions I am just looking for the draw/results. My favourite posts are the entry lists and "Friday Feeling" as they provide an at a glance information. I would not want the board to be JUST that, but with a busy life etc some times I just want to jump in and get that. On other occasions I like to read through.

Ooh great thanks for this JonH! I've not come across it before. I use the live ranking part of the site but never used the draws part (love that they put the draws in an easy to scroll format rather than the ridiculous way the ATP and ETA sites do where you have to ignore it and find the pdf! Downloading the app now
It can be difficult because some threads - usually the lower tier events - are already just results unless something outstanding happens... but you can't predict that.
