Sorry to hear about Jake. So Jack is the last Brit standing now and as Jon said it goes into a third set and 3 all. The way it's going looks like Jack could end up relying on another tie break. Precarious times.

Watching Carlos earlier I noticed he was asking the ball kid for his towel. I thought the powers that be had ruled they couldnt do this any more and had to fetch their own towel from the boxes. Have I got that wrong?

I agree, I'm sure it was banned a while ago.

I've said it twice & I'll say it again:  it's not fair on the ball boys & girls & should continue to be banned.  furious

I agree.  I was appalled when I saw it was happening again.  Definitely not fair on the ball kids.

Well done Jack, but it was close. Into the semis - Lehecka next!

Jack has guaranteed 4th seed at Wimbledon with that, as he steps over Fritz and no one can catch him. Well done Jack, now just go and get the title here to cap it off!

A lot of shaking out the arm. Couldn't tell whether he had a shoulder injury?

Apparently Jake told BBC that he lost the feeling in his hands. So nerve not injury related.

It was raised by Claire Balding, in conversation with JL & Leon Smith after Jack's match.  Leon said he wasn't injured.

I like the fact that Jack is downplaying being a top four seed as he should be. Five wins needed to get to that stage. And the same number of top two players potentially needing to be beaten.

Lehecka hardly put a foot wrong in his first set service games, takes it 6-4.

 Yes

It was Jack's issue, getting broken so early on and too easily

Lehecka has not dropped a set all week and doesn't look like doing so.

The level is extremely high. Both of the players will be contenders for the Wimbledon title if they maintain this level.  It is an excellent spectacle.

Did I hear Andrew Cotter right just then?  The Beeb's going to be covering Wimbledon qualies?
