 Yes, a bit of a surprise. There are 14 Brits in the doubles draw and she is certainly the odd one out.

Great effort from Millie, but loses the first set 7-6(7). Had a set point at 6-5 40-30*

Ooft. Millie gets away with that. Perfect tiebreak to 6-2*, at *6-3 her arm goes to lead and she hits two double faults. A bit tentative and pushy at 6-5* but her opponent goes long off an iffy bounce.

Into a third. Well done, keep attacking!

Not for the faint-hearted - Millie plays a super second set tiebreak, get to 6-2, misses the first SP after an excellent rally - and then serves two DFs !!!!!
But, then, manages to get the last one - just

Stomach ulcers all the way
