lol, I was a bit confused when I read that CD.

Thanks Julia for pointing it out.

Thanks for your take on it, CD, it's interesting CD what you say about Qinwen, I haven't seen her play, but you don't get WR5 without some consistency.

I guess it's all on Emma then, and if she can play this first strike tennis that the commies seem to be going on about, and be more consistent about it than she was yesterday. Assuming of course that Qinwen plays at that same level.

Emma is hitting some really great serves and forehands so far. Most aggressive I've seen her in a while. But Qinwen is also hitting the serve / ball well.

Yeah very high quality match so far. Qinwen playing at a much higher levels than last night where she was struggling with the grass and her game against Kessler

I get we all want Emma to win, but booing Zheng for changing her shoes after slipping several times feels really unfair.

The crowd probably thought that she could have changed earlier between games. She is thoroughly in charge here.

The Chinese girl has a huge game and is well on top.
Emma is not getting many cheap points on serve

Even though it was 6-2, not a huge amount in it. Emma is playing well - striking some monster forehands, returning well. Just dropped off a little towards the end of the set, and Zheng won a series of very close games.

Emma has been clutching her back a little bit and grimacing at times. But then she was also beaming at her box after winning some points, so hard to tell how she's really feeling.

She's now gone off court for treatment. Annabel Croft questioning the wisdom of playing doubles & singles this week.

MTO for Radacanu. Looks like a back spasm. Although Qinwen is a different player from her performance yesterday.

Set point Emma manages to net the ball with the Chinese sitting helplessly on the floor.
