But redeems himself by taking the second by 7-5 to level the match.  wink

Already seen this story with the other two... awful first set wins the second but loses the 3rd so I'm staying with pessimism haha

Pessimism not unwarranted:

L32:  (Q) Coleman Wong (HKG) WR 175 defeated (WC) Johannus Monday WR 244 by 6-1 5-7 6-3  cry

It's officially a rout!  Only Dan left now to fly the flag...

Despite the tussle in the tie-break, from what I saw of the match, Tu never really looked like losing.

Tu failed to qualify, losing out to Svajda in three sets in the FQR, got in as a lucky loser in place of Basavareddy, promptly beat Spizzirri in straight sets (3 & 3) & will face Bolt, who beat Mackenzie McDonald (8) by 6-4 7-6(3), in the last 16...  no

This is usually where we pick up a lot of random wins, so having this whitewash feels rather odd....

Evo loses the first set.

I think I've seen this film before, and I didn't like the ending...

Theme tune of Jaws starting in the background! All Brits about to be devoured.

I guess it is just the first week on grass, and folk are as of now content just to contrast things with our newly found mastery of clay.

But GB guys and gals, get the finger out and at ieast start stepping it up quite a bit in week 2.

Evo hasn't lost his knack of commentating on the match whilst losing it ..

Dan looked 2nd best throughout I thought, not by much .. but enough. I think maybe qualifying helped Casonne by giving him grass match practice
