Not even sure Kyle was the best idea! Really poor wildcard giving in my opinion.

It would be nice to think that the LTA took some notice of the opinions expressed on here - not because we wish the players in question ill, but because we're concerned about the short-sighted way in which its policy may be impeding the progress of up & coming youngsters, who might make more of the opportunity offered by a judiciously awarded wild card.

Ohh yea of course! Nothing more we want than Kyle and Aidan to win, but facts are I think most people here could see neither would stand much of a chance. These matches are a show of in my opinion who should get QWCs to Wimbledon. There playing the sort of level players they would meet in those rounds... Story in particular deserved one I think, no idea where Broady is either injured again?

You'd expect Liam to be at the front of the queue for a grass court event, but in theory, he's eschewing the green stuff this week at least - he should be playing in the M25 in Monastir this week, on hard.   His current ranking's not exactly brilliant, either:  601 compared with a CH of 93 in September 2023, so he'd definitely need a WC as things stand.  cry

Yea I meant a better WC bet :) but seems he didn't fancy the grass... Ryan down Stuart only not down due to the rain probably! Really poor day.

Sadly I think you may have that the "wRong" way round.

Can the LTA not have a M25 last week of May on grass next year.

It would make sense, men and women, to give those not playing FO a lead in week before the higher ranked overseas players get involved

Maybe they could hold it as Surbiton?!

It would make more sense than the challenger 50 in Wimbledon second week

Sorted !!

Good to have an M25 ( and W35 ) on grass in itself to give many more a grass tournament, and the lead-in argument makes so much sense.

Billy is totally the wrong partner for Marcus who needs to be partnering a dedicated doubles player not a part timer.

As others have more or less said there was no justification for Aidan to get a QWC, this list of players who have performed better than him on the Futures tour this year is very long.

I wish them all well but forget Kyle, Liam and Dan Evans for any wild cards anywhere, their best days are behind them and they have made their money. The LTA should be supporting the next generation it's 2025, not 2015.
