That should put her back in the top thousand again - long way to go, but she is beginning to build up a few points. Hopefully she can win another match or two - that win was hard though and will have taken a lot out of her.

I completely agree, she will be feeling the physical effects of 3 games on the trot

She really needs another win just to make the top 1000. The current WR1000 has 18 points (along with 11 other players) - which is where Katie will be when these points go on. Anther win and she'd be around WR940.

She's entered into tournaments the next 2 weeks. I'm hoping she withdraws from next week and allows her body to rest and recover.

Yes, perhaps she entered next week's tournament in case she lost early this week ..and now having won 3 matches and hopefully being fit enough to play a fourth, she'll give next week a miss, and recover for the tournament in two weeks time

Yes, OER live rankings have her live ranked 1001 ! She's near the top of these on 18 points, having the least tournament counters without a WTA level point. So FWIW she apparently will indeed need one more win to be top 1000 on 09/06.

Sorry but that can't be right. Claire Hill was a qualifier in a W15 so her ranking should be much lower.

Yes, you are right - that is her ITF ranking. I've corrected it. In too much of a hurry this morning - off out for the day.

Swan won 24 of the last 26 points to close out the 2nd set and match. Well done to the qualifier for making the 1st set competitive, but Swan sending a message in the 2nd.
