I do like it, as I am often too busy to keep up with events. So this helps me know who is doing what.
So thanks for the hard work
I nearly missed the vote this month until you reminded me. Thanks

Which is a thing - we created this section all of its own, and I think that was the right call. People have seen me moaning on about voting numbers being down, and they are - as an example, Jan to May has average 36.8; 2024 Jan to May was 48.2 votes, so 10 people down per vote, which makes a big (20% plus) difference in 40 or so votes.
I know a lot of that could be to do with lack of new members. But your comment hits home. I wonder how many people who come to the board just go to mens or womens and dont bother looking at the Player of the Month threads or the Predictions threads? Whereas when it was in general section, they may be more inclined to click in and vote?
Indy also has a theory, which may be correct, that as more people on this board follow womens tennis, a big WTA performance or some such tends to pull more voters in. May be correct as well - I think it is possibly a number of factors playing in together, in reality.
I dont think we should go back to having it in "general", but it is partly why I spam it in other posts to tell people the vote is here, although I get a little embarrassed doing that, to be honest.
All in all, best off here, hopefully we will gradually see some of those 10 voters reappear !!

I agree that it's interesting to see the nominations and find out about new names and achievements.
The result of the voting will probably not be life changing for the players, but it does provide some entertainment for us! So thank you Jon!!

exactly, and it is entertainment we are after.
I agree totally, the players probably don't care or even know - apart from it was great to see one person involved in the board (Anna via her Dad) actually be in the vote and be competitive and, if nothing else, it hopefully raised a smile to their faces and maybe even some confidence in what Anna is doing.
I know Jay's sister has also been around the board in the past, although not for a long time, maybe she will see the result of this months vote at some stage
