Will Jansen is our ex-National Junior Champion so great to see him back on pro courts too
They're like swallows, all our college players, they reappear in droves (flocks?) in summer
A "gulp" or a "flight", according to the Wildlife Trusts, though I'd've thought something like "swoop" would be a bit more poetic, certainly more onomatopoeic.
L16: William Jansen WR 1177 defeated (4) Patrick Brady WR 851 by 2 & 3
I know paulisi reported that people at the Liverpool event, I think it was, were speaking very highly of Patrick Brady
I've never really seen it the times I've seen Brady play but hopefully that's right and Jansen is really going some - he's our ex-national champion in juniors and has a game that works well on grass - he played Wimbledon adult qualifiers and most certainly didn't disgrace himself
Will be interesting if he's going to do the whole summer season

He comes up and does some training blocks in the NW and I heard that he was in good form, but that was a couple of months ago.

he has been out in the US at college (Ohio State?). Lambda's college ranking update showed him at 73 in doubles but not sure he was high in singles. SO not entirely sure how his form out there has been but presumably, like many other college Brits, he is playing a summer of circuit tennis before heading back to college in the Autumn?
