MTO for Liv after she received a full-blooded drive on her left thumb.

End of the road for the girls, but still an excellent week giving them both new CH's

R3/L16:- Tereza Mihalikova (SVK) / Olivia Nicholls (GBR) CR66 (34+32) [12] v Olga Danilovic (SRB) / Anastasia Potapova (***) CR923 (754+169) 7-6(4) (3)6-7 0-6

Shame to lose from a set and a break and go have had a match point. But yes a decent end to the clay. A strong grass season ahead hopefully

Ouch 7-6 5-2. That match was really there for the taking.

Liv is dropping just 55 points before Wimbledon as she has spare counters and Tereza drops 65 points. So they should still be around about the same of better in time for Wimbledon seedings.

Presumably theres no way of telling what their grass schedule will be? Presumably Queens? Berlin? Eastbourne or Bad Homborg? Presumably at their level they would be able to choose the 500 level events?

Last year they played Hertogenbosch, Birmingham and Bad Homburg. As you say, I would expect them to be playing the 500 events, so it could be Queens, Berlin and Bad Homburg this year as the Hertogenbosch, Nottingham and Eastbourne are 250's. But they may prefer to come to England. The WTA has entry list for the first week and they are showing as 5th on the Queens list.

And Lois keeps going! Tremendously fun match with Pegula, which she wins 6-4 in the third. But goodness, those two missed from Jessie on her final break point and the final deuce. What is a top 3 player doing not make the court on those two balls - the nerves!

Yes, an absolute thriller - if not the absolute best tennis you've ever seen biggrin

What ever came over Pegula ? She looked lethargic and disinterested during the bits I saw (second set and start of the third). I bet Lois gets her sponsership now !
