Which British women's player will win the most grass court season matches in 2025?

So time for the annual prediction game.

We have several weeks of grass coming up and for the past few years we have tracked which British players win the most main draw and qualifying draw matches!

And it is time to go again!

Starting with Birmingham, we will track the wins in qualies and main draw through all the events in Britain and overseas, through to the end of Wimbledon (for the women). The wins that count include all main draws and qualies AND include the LTA Wild Card Play offs pre qualifiers that take place.

Your job is to predict which player you think will get the most wins!!

When you vote, please say for whom and I will anoint a winner at the end.

For the last 3 years, the players with most wins have been:

2022 - 10 wins - Jodie Burrage; 9 wins Katie Boulter; 7 wins Harriet Dart

2023 - 10 wins - Katie Boulter; 8 wins Harriet Dart; 7 wins Jodie Burrage

2024 - 8 wins - Katie Boulter and Jodie Burrage; 7 wins Emma Raducanu and Naiktha Bains

Katie and Jodie really are the Queens of grass from a GB perspective, but is anyone going to challenge that this year?

In 2024, we had 79 grass court wins over main draws and qualies for British women singles players. 8 people predicted either Katie or Jodie to get the most and so go into 2025 as our de facto defending champions

Katie B - Miriam ABC, Jan, Danny1312, Dodrade, Indiana, Brittak

Sonay K - Mdewey, Telstar

I have listed the top 19 women as of today plus AN other, in case you think someone outside the top 19 will win!

Enjoy!

PLEASE NOTE, I HAVE DECIDED TO CLOSE THIS POLL END OF THE DAY FRIDAY 30TH MAY, AS PLAY STARTS OVER THAT WEEKEND IN BIRMINGHAM AND IT IS BETTER TO CLOSE PREDICTIONS BEFORE PLAY ACTUALLY STARTS.

PLEASE NOTE AND DONT MISS THE DEADLINE!

2025 women's grass court events:

Jun 2-8 - Birmingham WTA 125

Jun 9 -15 - 's-Hertogenbosch WTA 250

Jun 9 -15 Queens WTA 500

Jun 9-15 Ilkley WTA 125

Jun 16 -22 Berlin WTA 500

Jun 16 -22 Nottingham WTA 250

w.c. Jun 16 - LTA Wild Card Play offs

Jun 22-28 Bad Homburg WTA 500

Jun 22-28 Eastbourne WTA 250

w.c. Jun 23 - Wimbledon Qualies

Jun 30- Jul 13 - Wimbledon GS

Jul 7 - 13  Newport RI WTA 125

I think we have as many grass events overall as last year - Newport is new as is Queens, but we have lost an Italian WTA 125 ( I think - can't see it on the schedule) and also Surbiton.

Let me know if I am missing any events!

Please note, some may wonder why I missed certain players out - I could only list 19 so took the top 19 and added AN Other to cover those below the top 19 - if you want to vote, say, Mika, then put AN Other and then post which player you vote for.

Regardless, when you vote, please say who you vote for so we can track who gets it right at the end of the grass season!!

Noting this includes qualies and challengers etc in the results that count, Im looking back to last year and noting Naiktha did well and she seems to be in form at the moment.

So Im voting Naiktha

Yep, per first post. Of course, Birmingham is in the same week as Surbiton was, ie second week of the French, I think overall the events are the same.

I will note them down shortly!

I was very tempted to vote Jodie, depends what events she plays - she has shown historically she is one of our top 2 grass court women.

If you are unsure how this works - we are trying to predict which Brit will win the most grass court matches - in main draw, qualies, and in the LTA wild card play offs. At GS/WTA/ATP and Challenger level (there anren't any ITF events this year); LTA wild cards are included BUT LTA British Tour is not.

We will track the wins and anoint a British player who gets the most wins - more importantly, we will anoint the board member who predicts that player correctly.

Get both men and women right and you will get special kudos - Jaggy did it two years ago, last year no one managed both men and women.

I've voted for Jodie, as she's my favourite female player. Not sure what form she's in this year but she's done consistently well on grass in the past.

Voted for Emma, she seems to be putting in the effort on clay, so hopefully that is sustainable on a more preferred surface.
