Depends on how week plays out but, for now, Neal is back to 11 in the live rankings. Joe at 20, hasnt moved over this event but making up ground on others above him

Had the pleasure of talking to David O'Hare about this pairing a couple of days ago.  He is enjoying working with them.

Wasn't David Joe's partner earlier in their careers? Good to hear and they seem to have really stepped up their form the past month or two

Can't remember.  He was certainly Jonny Marray's partner.

We spoke most about when I saw him play with Freddie Nielsen at a futures in Spain.  It was a tournament we both remembered mostly for the 48ºc temperatures.

The Aussies beat the fourth seeds, Bolelli & Vavassori, in straight sets a short while ago...

Well, top seeds Arevalo and Pavic go out to Nys and ERV.

Apart from removing the top seeds and top pair this season, I believe it means Harri would go to WR1 if Harri and Henry win their last 8 match - Henry would be WR2. ALthough they would be on the same points tally - when would their tie be removed and make Henry equal 1?

Got to win first, but opportunity abounds!

Yeah, O'Hare was Joe's college partner and they won a number of futures events together early in Joes career

College career

[edit]

Salisbury represented the Memphis Tigers from 2010 until his graduation in 2014. As he had experienced injury problems during his junior career he was not heavily recruited by American colleges and the decision to offer him a spot at Memphis was a "gamble" on the part of head coach Paul Goebel.[5]

Salisbury finished his college career with 97 doubles wins with his partner David OHare, the most in school history, and his 25 singles wins in his final year was also a Memphis record at the time.[5]

Julian & Lloyd kept pegging back Luke & Sander, but ultimately ran out of steam.  hmm

QF:  (16) Hugo Nys & Edouard Roger-Vasselin (MON/FRA) CR 71 (39+32) vs Sander Arends (NED) & Luke Johnson CR 79 (37+42)

The Franco-Monégasque partnership beat Arévalo & Pavic, the top seeds, in three sets earlier...

Big days for the Brits playing tomorrow. Harri and Henry win and they go 1 and 2 in the world rankings; Neal and Joe win and Neal goes 8th as well as the team into the top 8.

Luke is now above Jamie and a new CH, a semi win on Wednesday and hell close in on top 20.

Heady days for mens doubles.

Maybe the pressure has got to Henry and Harri, they are a set and a break (3-2) down to Harrison and King.

TBF, Harrison and King have been having a good season and look a strong pairing. One's to watch. Hope H & H can find a way back

really disappointing - that top spot proving elusive for both Henry and Harri.

Down to Joe/Neal and Luke to keep the flag flying

Pity for Henry& Harri.

I really doubt that the chance of the WR 1/2 spots in the next rankings was any sort of of a pressure issue. The pressure was simply to try and win a Slam QF.
