As several have pointed out to me, we've had no new members since early Nov, due to a software bug where anyone who attempts to join gets this error message: "We experienced some errors with your input"
I've contacted Activeboard support, and got the below reply today which isn't great. I'll wait a few weeks and see whether they're able to fix it. If not, I'll try upgrading the forum to one of their paid packages to see if that gets better tech support. Would be good to have the issue fixed by the grass court season.
Hi there,
Thank you for reaching out.
This is a known issue that we're working towards correcting.
As soon as I have more information for you, I will reach out. Currently, we do not have a timeline for when we can expect this issue to be fixed.
Also, don't know if it's appropriate, but if you want people to write extra chase-up letters to Activeboard support, please let me/us know and give email address - sometimes a gentle deluge of (polite) requests works wonders
That's a good point - perhaps to begin with if everyone could send an email to SparkLIT (the Canadian company who make Activeboard) pointing out just how much of an important resource this place is (I checked the stats this morning - it currently gets between 1-2 million total views/month), and hence this is an issue which needs urgently prioritising/fixing, that might make a difference.
