Feels a bit of a poor turnout for the main draw. Hopefully Jodie can have a decent run. And maybe one of our girls will get one of the lucky loser spots.

All 9 of our players GB #6 to #14 are MD WCs or were in qualifying as direct acceptances or qwcs.

Of our top 5 I wouldn't expect Katie B, Emma or Sonay to be here ( not sure if top 50 players are even allowed? ) which kind of leaves just Harriet and Fran.

 I agree - this is now just another event to give foreign players a good warm-up on grass so they can beat our girls at Wimbledon qualis etc hmm
