And blows a game point and broken again to lose the set.

An absolutely staggering 10 minutes from Lily. Jeezo. Can still win it but I'm a bit clearer on why her ranking has started to plummet.

These matches are huge for Lily I suspect a good few wins might get her a MDWC but moments like this is she doesn't win will surely not get her even considered...

It's just all a bit weak really from Lily these last 20 mins. She's been solid enough but is also basically just 'there', Naef is the one who's actually bringing anything to the court (whether ugly or excellent) to try and change the way the match is going.

She has got the break back now though after a long game, so hopefully she can find something. *1-2

Ella digging in and hanging on 3-3* second set. But misses a couple of break points *3-4.

This is better now from Lily - moving the ball with a bit more intent and found a bit of bite on her first serve again. Now just don't pull back, keep stepping up the court this time!

4-2*

Ella misses another couple of break points but gets it on her fourth try.

*5-4

Well done Lily. That was a nice level towards the end of the match after an unnecessary extra hour on court. Hopefully she can build a bit of confidence and momentum.

Ella broken to 30 serving for it.

Ella very nervy serving for the match at both 5*-4 and 6*-5 so the second set goes to a tiebreak

Well done, Ella

Only saw the tiebreak

Whitney is one of the most mentally off-with-the-fairies players - SO frustrating if you're a Whitney fan (which I'm not - dinking it around and going AWOL is not that appealing)

The tiebreak was not a thing of beauty but very glad that Ella got over the line
