Looks like Mimi has broken the top 400, around the 380s. Just what she needed after that hard slog in Japan.

6-0 *1-1

Gadecki reached the semi finals of Surbiton and qualified for Wimbledon last year. So knows her way around a grass court. Heather has came through three really tough service games saving break points.

Very nice Heather. 6-0 6-3.

Some really tough holds that could have swung momentum but she dug in and played some good stuff. Forehand got a bit pushy at the end (first match point she had a nice space to hit into but pushed down the middle and went long) but sealed with an ace.

I don't think Parks likes grass

She looked as though she hated it when she played Hannah last year in Wimbly qualis too

I think she feels it makes her look a bit of a fool because she's always half-falling over, or in the wrong place to the ball

But, yes, when she's in position, she plays super tennis

Just too all over the place and not really inclined to buckle down if it's not firing

What a cracker from Mimi.
Hoping to see her really progress through the grass swing.

Is Marni fully fit at the moment? Feels like she's plateaued after some encouraging results over last 18 months.
