Fact check

The atp article said as below: the bold piece is what made me think it was his last match so I can probably be forgiven!

I knew playing such an experienced and great player like Fabio, I had to up my game in order to win, said Fearnley. Its a really special night for me to be on court with Fabio in his last match, really special.

The Italian fans are amazing. I knew they would be all towards Fabio, so it was nothing but respect. It was an electric atmosphere, an amazing one to play in.

Jack really on a run. Italian in Rome, like Jake did, is good from both our guys - and comprehensive wins as well. Really good.

May have some eminent spectators tomorrow at the tennis in Rome, but I expect this tennis fan  maybe rather busy. www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/tennis/article-14696063/Pope-Leo-XIV-Chicago-fans-favorite-sport-tennis.html

Jake lost the first set but it was close and is 4-1 up in the second. Very 50/50.

High quality match - Jake looks very comfortable on clay and his drop shots are top quality

Jake led by a break for most of that second set.

Good effort by Jake, berrettini is one of my favourite players so hope he goes further.

Coulda shoulda levelled the match - held two set points on serve - but encouraging that he is already competitive on clay at this level. His development over the last 12 months is incredible.

Up to 52 in the live rankings - would be great if he has a decent run either in Turin this week, Hamburg or Roland Garros and cracks top 50 before he starts having anything really to defend.

Ah, a close run thing! Closer scoreline than I expected (sorry Jake!)

Yes, Jake ran Berretini (who is a class act and has won several titles on ckay) much closer than I expected!

And now he has the chance to play a clay challenger (which he missed out on after Madeid because he went too deep!)
