Well done Naiktha, singles and doubles finals is a good effort. Can she stop Marni ? Looks like Hollie had a good go against her.

Marni lost the first set

But is about to serve for the second

A good quality match - Spanish Eva has been playing some excellent tennis this week

BUT the worrying thing is that Marni keeps rubbing her lower back on the left side, putting her hand to it, it's obviously not quite right, and given all her back issues.......

Marni now down a break at *1-4, but is holding her back after almost every point. Seems to be moving well, but I have my doubts whether she will finish the match, let alone play the final tomorrow if she gets through.

Naiktha was 5-0 up in that second set when I first looked at the score.

Has Sophie D-L decided not to keep giving the pros a try?

Sophie D-L seems to have given up both Netball and Tennis and is following a career. Pity but I guess she felt her progress last year was not enough.

Sophie played her first tennis match since September yesterday - at least first registered on the LTA competitions system - for David Lloyd Raynes Park in the National League. It was strong team including Alice Gillan, Holly Hutchinson, Katy Dunne and Emily Appleton. Of course this doesn't mean she's going to give pros a go again, she may just be playing for fun, but its good to see she hasn't hung up her racket entirely.
