Weeks 17 & 18 - ATP Masters 1000 - Madrid, Spain (clay)

What a win! Served brilliantly throughout the third set and won the match with a remarkable squash-style forehand pass from about 10 feet behind the baseline.

He had a group of supporters making a lot of noise throughout - he certainly seemed inspired today.

Now either Dimitrov or the big serving Chilean Jarry for a place in the last 16

I expect Jake will be very happy with the 50 points and 52k euros for today's win. But yes, it does feel like he has got further.

I think hes near the end, he doesnt seem motivated or have the game anymore. Reckon we will see him retire after the US Open.

What a great tournament this is being for our players.

Great to see Cam get another win and Jake just seems to keep on improving.

Really pleased to see Cam getting some form back and OMG, I did NOT expect that result from Jake!

As JonH said, Jake's development as a player is "immense" and it will be exciting to see how he can do against Dimitrov (especially compared with getting steamrollered by AdM in the last tournament.)

Great wins for the trio, but also a good time to be playing Lehecka and Machac, who have both had injury issues.

Well done Jack - a match with Berrettini next is one to look forward to in the last 32 stage!
