Naa, all's good. Cam won and I won a bit. I kinda thought he'd lost a bit of the momentum that had drawn me in, and from the cash out offer I stood to lose almost twice as much if he lost as I would have added if he won, and I wasn't going to be able to follow it any more. Still made a profit for the overall judgement calls.

Anyway, I see he won 6-7(4) 7-5 6-4 ( sorry for my earlier first set misinformation )

PS  And TA having Cam at 85% does seem a bit mad from what seemed known beforehand ( and it was questioned ) and how the match played out, with BOOthy saying that final set was the best he's seen Cam play for a long time.

L96:  Cameron Norrie WR 91 defeated (WC) Martín Landaluce (ESP) WR 148 by 6-7(4) 7-5 6-4

Wasn't expecting that outcome when I went out to Sainsbury's after he lost the first set tie-break!  biggrin  However...

L64:  (26) Jiri Lehecka (CZE) WR 27 (CH = 22 in February) vs Cameron Norrie WR 91

Cam apparently didn't feel at all well before & during the match.  All credit to him for battling through it.

The match before Jacob's has finally finished. Surely they could have moved their court a lot earlier only the 2 big courts out of 8 still had play.

If Cam can get past Lehecka, a LL would await in R3 - either Diallo ( comfortably beat Bergs in R1 ) or Majchrzak ( in for Alcaraz, withdrawal due to "muscle strain" ).

Hopefully Cam will feel much better by Saturday.

Now they seem to have some sort of problem with the line calling... or the sound system...

But up and running again now!

Fearnley excellent first set, very impressive. That FH is wicked. Good to read from comments here that Norrie played well having not seen the match.

Well done Jake, looks like a solid performance - excited to see how rest of this week and rest of the clay season goes as he develops further.

He could have made it a bit easier for himself before the tie-break...

*****

L64:  (Q) Jacob Fearnley WR 68 vs (19) Tomás Machac (CZE) WR 20 (= CH)

What's not to like. 2 British matches, 2 British wins, and I profit in both
