Good first set Jacob. Keep it going now.

Humbert has been injured, 4-3 up in the 2nd set, by the looks of it maybe over-stretching ankle and twisting calf ..

Thanks BOOthy it seemed the match was continuing after a long medical time out but I'd switched over to Jack V Gael Monfils anyway.

Well done, Jake !!!!

Yes, Humber was on one leg and could hardly push off, let alone move

But you've got to be in it to win it

Very unlucky but what at exciting L32 and a guaranteed player into the last 16! Really great chance for both!

I"m not objecting to Jake getting the win (and a British man for sure in the 4th round) but it was a real shame that Humbert got injured, as that was shaping up to be a fun match to watch, with a lot of lovely shotmaking and chasing balls down in the last few games.

Humbert seemed to catch his foot, getting it stuck when he started going one way and then tried to go another, but was clutching his hamstring while he was on the floor (and grimacing a lot). He limped off court for physio and was walking reasonably naturally when he came back on, but clearly not fixed enough to be running around or pushing off for serves.

But Jake was playing well enough for that lead. This was an injury done during the match. Quite an unexpected third round clash!

Oh, yes, Humbert was fit until the first deuce in his last service game and the injury happened in part because Jake had been moving him around the court and forcing a lot of changes of direction and reaching for shots. Like I said, it was a real shame it ended that way because it was turning into a very entertaining and close fight just before the injury.

Didnt catch any of this but welcome the win for Jake! And that is going to be a very interesting battle of the Brits next!

Humbert was up a break when it happened and apparently was really playing well.

I think I want Cam to win the next round, purely for prediction league purposes as I am expecting a late charge from my players...

Jack in trouble the second set - cant take this for granted. Monfils is still fit, still skillful and got the crowd on his side. Jack could do with not going a set all

It never ceases to amaze me how tennis can flip around so completely from one set to another. Jack looked imperious in set one and now he's being battered. Let's hope it's Jack's turn again in set 3.

Monfils playing lights-out tennis yet again. How long can he keep this up ? Some tremendous shot-making.
