Weeks 22 & 23 - French Open (Roland-Garros) - Paris, France (clay) - men's main draw

Let's hope Jack warms up before the match, rather than during the first set like he has a couple of times recently

Cam makes a typical business like start and breaks in the second game, 2-0.

Gomez breaks back, Norrie not looking as fresh as he did on Tuesday, some errors but mainly Gomez is thumping down plenty of winners here. Plenty of unforced errors as well mind you and he doesn't look like he can go 5sets. Heavily built guy, sweating like a cart horse. Set points for Norrie however now.

Well I didn't count how many set points Norrie had in that first set but at last an unforced error gives him the set, phew. Norrie is maybe too passive at times in the last 25mins, hope he lifts his level. If he keeps Gomez on the turn and moves him across court as he did more in the initial games, the errors come readily enough.

Not sure Gomez can keep this going.

Cam takes the second 6-2. Into the third. Hoping Gomez doesnt have much left in the tank now and Cam can bring it in in three.

Looking like a leggy Gomez now. Norrie will be very happy with a 3set match today.

L64:  Cameron Norrie WR 81 defeated (LL) Federico Agustín Gómez (ARG) WR 144 by 7-6(7) 6-2 6-1  smile

So, Jake or Humbert in the last 32...

Well done, Cam. Taken advantage of that draw. Third round match up to look forward to - whoever he plays.

So happy that Cam has sorted out the problems he was having and found his form again. Well done!

Clay by far Humbert weakest surface. Down at 47% wins overall, even with some challenger tourno wins in 23.
