Fan bloody tastic. Great to see Cam get a big win on the big stage again.

Hopefully this is the confidence boost to get him shooting backup the rankings now.

It's his performances throughout May that have provided the confidence for today. And why he was saying before the match that his form is back to where it was when he was top 10. Not sure about Top 10 level performance just yet but his comment reflected how he's feeling about his game

The weird thing was Cam was barely winning points on Meds serve for sets 3-5 right up until Meds served for it. He then broke him twice in a row!

I didn't see that coming at all - but then who did?

Well done Cam.

A tough first set for Jack.

Mattia Bellucci is loosened up and going for his shots whereas Jack isn't quite there, not yet in the first set, although J did pull 2 games back from 5-1 down so there's signs he might be starting to work Bellucci out.

Loses first set 6-3. As Jon H says above it is a bit of a daft day. Sonay beats Erika with the loss of two games,Cam pulls off amazing win. Can Jack pull this one round.

Looks like he can and will pull it round. Second set to Jack 6-1. Yay.

Dare I say that he could hardly have hoped for a better second round draw?!!

Beeb report on Cam's match.  Contains a link to a report on Jack's.  Both confirm that we haven't had three men & three women in the second round at RG since 1973.  Cam, understandably elated, thinks he "deserve[s] a diploma" for his performance today.  biggrin
