The second half of the final set was high quality tennis. But Dan had gome 5-0 down and left himself an impossible task.

I am not suprised at the result, I don' think many posters here would be. I am suprised that Dan chose to play on the dirt when he we could have played on hard. Yes, he would have had long flights, but surely his objective to get his ranking back up to high enough to make the cut for ATP and GS events.
