I believe that's her first top-200 win, no?

Which is always a big moment

According to tennis abstract her previous best win was Leonie Kung WR206 in Brisbane in February, which superceded Marni in Nottingham

That's a shame, but not a bad run

I hope that she can continue her form next week. I'll be interested to see how she plays 2 weeks on the trot at this level having had 3 matches this week.

Not really that you wish it but just to note that two of the four singles matches today ended in retirements (including the match that 16 year-old world junior #1 Emerson Jones won)

Sometimes you get the rub of the green and sometime you don't ....

Too tue, but I think Mimi needs the higher ranked competition to improve. Plenty of time. Mimi did play a couple of tournaments one after each other in Brisbane I think so she should recover OK. Anyone know if she has a coach out in Japan with her?

Yes - but if she'd have won by retirement today she'd have got another higher ranked competitor to play tomorrow, to improve smile
