Sofia is only 19 (like Ella) and, from what I've seen of her recently, quite up and down

From the scoreline, Ella was really tenacious in that second set and if she'd just managed to sneak the tie-break, it couldl have been interesting

All ranking points will be most welcome over the Indian Wells and Miami 4 weeks. She has a total of 116 points from 4 tournaments to drop off.

After this W35 she is down for a Romanian and then 2 Slovenian W75s in the following 3 weeks.

Lily does keep fitter and busier than most. She has the most ranking scores in the last year of any GB woman, with 26 ( next is Harriet with 24 after her own slight issue lately ). So half the weeks of the year ( really 2/3 since she didn't play after September last year ).

Well done to Ella+. Just a bit sad that we've apparently lost her to Finland.
