Just a quick shout out for Mirra for lifting IW title and also to Conchita. That is a great enduring coaching partnership and just glimpses of some of Conchitas finesse (Señorita Topspin,)coming into Mirras game I thought. Still improving could be a GOAT. Who knows.

Well said. Purely on the coaching side, I've enjoyed listening to Mirra when she mentions Conchita, the fun they seem to have, BUT the fact that Mirra listens to her and 'do as she's told'

A lot of players (some in particular) are so wont to say: 'I'm the sort of player who needs this...' or whatever. And you think, well, maybe, but why don't you trust the coach and try something different (especially when your 'this' isn't really working)

I also think there's quite a lot of sexism (direct or indirect) against Conchita - a lot of people trying to undermine her role in Mirra's success, which I don't think they'd do with a man

Very best of luck to both of them

Completely agree. Being a tennis pro is a tough gig, although not without its rewards (and downsides) at the top. Spread the load if you can afford to, why get a dog as the saying goes..

Great to see Conchita alongside Mirra, and the fun and success that they have achieved together
