1. Emily Webley-Smith for winning the W35 in Switzerland - her 27th doubles title at the age of 40. Still enjoying the tour and competing fiercely despite living almost hand to mouth on the meagre prizemoney available.
2. Luke Hooper (age 19) - his first ATP point (aka Bob's theory that everyone getting their first point deserves a nomination - and I enjoyed one of Luke's matches last year too, so that will do) )
3. U12 Boys Winter Cup team - Kai Hodkinson, Cameron Rae & Tomas Gabor - won the title !!!! First GB win since 2012 (with Draper, Fearnley and Loffhagen)
4. Isabelle Lacy - at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships Isa had her college breakout performance impressing when stepping up to stand in 2 places higher up the singles order for the weekend's 3 matches, winning 2 and, in the 3rd match, being a set and break up when the 3rd tie was finished, getting Virgina's only set, when all her teammates were losing heavily. The weekend included an impressive first win against a ranked opponent (and top 20 and L16 NCAA finalist at that).
5. Francesca Jones - for reaching a new CH, having a great week reaching the SFs in the WTA in Cancun, and for generally being an inspiration to all
6. Ben Jones - for winning the M25 doubles title at Roehampton, and making the QFs in the singles (and for having to put up with Greg's cheerleading from the stands? Just joking - well, sort of )
7. Oliver Cox - aged 18 and world ranked 35, beat top seeded, former world number one and legend of the game, David Wagner (WR11) in the last 8 at the Bolton Indoor series 3 wheelchair quad singles; he followed up by beating 4th seeded German (Laudan) to move into the final against compatriot, Greg Slade.
8. Arthur Fery - for winning the M25 title at Roehampton, his first title since 2023 and doing it unseeded and without losing a set.
9. Greg Slade - Greg, seeded 3, won the Bolton Wheelchair Indoor Series 3 event singles and doubles titles to cap a very good week for him.
Approaching the end of week 3 of 4. Still a number of men playing this week at ATP and Challenger level, singles and doubles - less so the women players though. If anyone catches your eye of these or the juniors or wheelchair players, add them to our list. The list close will be Sunday March 2nd. Vote will start Monday March 3rd.
A few players left in big matches this weekend, notably in Doha but also in some semis of ITF events and the Glasgow challenger doubles.
Greg Slade needs a nice little narrative update also and Ill do the honours as the weekend closes.
Remember, anyone can add a nomination at any time. Just take the latest list above, quote it in the top right of the page, add a name and reason at the bottom and edit the extraneous text left over from others posts, and re post.
Nominations close end of next Sunday night, ie March 2. Vote starts March 3, Monday morning.
Im tempted to nominate Lloyd and Julian - anyone else agree?
ATP 500s are pretty big. Neither Julian nor Lloyd have won bigger titles and just their 2nd and 3rd respectively at this level. Nice reward for a strong start to the year ( up to 3rd in the albeit early ATP race ). I'd go for it, I'm not quite sure why the look for backup on this occasion.

Largely because I get uncomfortable when I have put a reasonable number of nominations in - the last 3 posted - and so dont wish to feel like Im dominating things. So it was partly a hint to see if anyone else would pick up the cudgel in my place!
And I still feel uncomfortable with it so will hold off for now and think further and / or see if anyone else goes for it!

I was thinking they need a nomination, but have been quite busy over the past few days, so not done much more than read here. But I couldn't have you feeling uncomfortable! (And I do have some time today to potter around doing less essential things.)
Ha, sorry, I should have just gone the Tanaqui route.
No worries - thank you both. As much as anything else, I couldnt actually think what to write and so was putting myself off, as well as feeling uncomfortable !

What a two weeks for Greg, maybe the second week is a career high and a breakthrough to make him a name - expect to see him at Wimbledon in the summer!

Added to Greg Slades narrative as the winner of a big singles title this week!
