Thanks J. Who are the boys semis between? Archie Graham and Fabrice Higgins must be one, is it Damian v Dominic or Arthur v Oliver in the other? Either way, just one British lad?
Looks like 8 men are through to the QF. All four GB boys are through to that. Fab surprisingly lost 6-1 to Benji Coulier today, but has been given another chance against the world number one, Archie Graham, tomorrow. Archie is the favourite. Dom is favoured to go through to the semis against Damo. Ollie might get through, but it is close. Aidan is up against Benji and may struggle. Fab and Dom will be on live cam at about 6am. They should be good to watch, but a little too early for most. Although with YouTube, you can play it back later.
Ah, the OOP shows Fab as French, is he another Brit?! Sorry, so Brits in all 4 matches, thats good to see. Fingers crossed for them all!
They had Anna down as an Ozzie for her first match. After the match, the Ozzie team manager said to Anna, Your first match for Australia went well. If you ever want to play for us, you are welcome to.
Yesterday cam 2 was not working. Today cam 1 is not on.
Now on after Archie and Fab finished their tough battle.
For some reason they are showing some of the weaker ii2 matches and weaker ii1 matches instead of the women's semi's. Anna can just be seen on court 3 from the court 2 cam.
Hanne is in red

It looks like they are doing the daft replay of today's women's doubles matches for gold, silver, and bronze.
In past women's doubles events, it was much harder to win a bronze. So tomorrow's event will be more of a tick-box exercise for Anna. She had to slow the tennis down against the Kazakhstan girls today, as they are many levels below the usual standard of the World Championships. The cost of getting to and the remoteness of Kazakhstan have reduced the numbers this year. Kazakhstan is also new to this event and wants to give its players an opportunity.
Anna is in the women's singles final.
Olliver and Dom are in the men's semi-finals.
Anna and Dom are through to the mixed doubles semi-finals.
Both GB's men's doubles teams are in the semi-final tomorrow and will play each other. Dom and Fab are the favourites to get to the final to defend their doubles title.
There will be team medals for GB players. Which is the combined singles place of two players?
Thanks for all the updates. I'm sorry the organisation seems so... disorganised (which would be bad at any event but seems particularly bad at an event for PWII, where I should imagine a high proportion of players find uncertainty and a lack of clarity difficult.)
Congratulations to all the GB players for their success so far and good luck in their next matches, especially Anna.
Dom beat the world number one and is in the final tomorrow with Ollie, who won his semi-final.
It seems that the men's doubles final will be soon. I got it wrong, thinking it was a semi. That is an all-GB affair, with Dom and Fab being the favourites to win gold again.
GB are cleaning up at this event. The GB men may get gold and silver in every section of the ii1. Four golds and four silvers are on if you include the mixed doubles. Anna is on for two gold and two bronze. It depends on how her singles final goes tomorrow.
Good luck to Anna, Dom and Ollie in their singles finals tomorrow; who would be favourite for that, Dom or Ollie?
We see Anna playing on the main stream tour in the TS events etc and doing well, do Dom and Ollie have that level in them and play in main stream events - what would you say there (and Fab) level was compared to , for example, Anna and how she performs in those TS/ LTA Tour events?
When is the mixed final, today or tomorrow?
Let us know how the mens doubles final goes today, good luck to Dom and Fab!

Dom and Fab won the doubles as expected. 6-0 6-3
Both of the mixed semi-finals are due on shortly.
Anna, Dom, and Fab were all part of junior high performance programs. At 13/14, Anna even reached number 13 for her age group and was the Scottish number one for her age. Anna has attended Scotland's, Bolton's, and Gosling's programs. Fab also attended Bolton's HPC.
Dom and Fab have busy lives and full-time jobs, so they are not as match-fit as they once were. Both have been around 10 UTR+ but have slipped back a bit. Both play at around the 8.5-9 UTR level. In the past both were successful at the equivalent male level of what Anna plays. Anna peaked at 8.54 UTR as a 15-year-old and often used to win mainstream grade 3's. However, a severe back injury, long covid, lack of training during covid, and lack of financial resources have led her to slip to a 7.32. But she can sometimes play back at her old level, depending on her ability to rotate her back. When Anna plays either Dom or Fab, it is usually a good match that she enjoys. The matches with Fab can be very close in number of points, but he seems to get the better of the key points. But of course, they have the male advantage. As Anna says, she would be much stronger if she were a man. If Fab and Dom had the time, they could be 9 plus UTRS again.
It is a shame that Anna is out on her own in the UK in the ii1 category. She needs other girls who can compete to be in it.
Good stuff Anna and Dom. The tantrums sound exciting, should leave the cameras on! Is it players Or coaches kicking off?!
The players were complaining first, followed by the women's coach, who was joined by the male coach. I watched the final point, and the ball looked in. So, it was just sour grapes from the French. Lol! You cannot see everything clearly, but Anna said Eva was in tears. The coaches have a responsibility not to wind the players up. It is not fair to the opponents either. But it made great viewing while I was trying to work out what all the fuss was.
