Unless Panova was injured, wonder if Lloyd decided to just focus on men's doubles as his main target.

With the way the draw/schedule was, he could have ended playing twice a day and presumably wouldn't want that.

Wouldn't be good if Lloyd just dropped the mixed.

Should be able to play a 2 sets plus MTB mixed doubles after a men's doubles, especially for your partner.

Though tbf I guess we just don't know who what just now.

 Yeah, hope he didnt to be fair, and it could have been a nice little a) earner and b) chance to get a grand slam title in a wide open draw (as always) and c) kept his eye nicely in for the mens doubles

But, yeah, agreed

 As you say, though, we dont know why they pulled out, so it could have actually been Panova, or someone carrying an injury or whatever. 

Anyway, hope we find out and it isnt something that impacts going forwards

For info, the BBC Sport website says that Lloyd & Alexandra pulled out of their L16 mixed doubles just 30 minutes before they were due to step on court.

Seems like very poor behaviour! If you don't want to potentially play two matches in one day then don't enter two events!

 Unlikely as the withdrawal was only made 30 mins before due to go on for the mixed

These are really one-sided scores for mixed doubles. Anyway let's not get ahead of ourselves. Krawietz and Perez potential semifinal opponents.
