due to my schedule, Ive amended the wild card nominations slot slightly, closing it on the 17th now. So two full weeks to nominate.
Nov PoM - Vote will take place Sunday 30th November - Tuesday 2nd December (after end of week 48) - 4 weeks nomination process
PoS Wildcard Nominations - window for nominations between Wednesday 3rd December and Wednesday 17th December 2025. Note this year, there will be unlimited wildcard nominations and the vote will be organised to support that process)
Dec PoM - Vote will take place Sunday 28th December - Tuesday 30th December (after end of week 52) - 4 weeks nomination process
PoS Wildcard vote - Wednesday 31st Dec - Friday 2nd Jan 2026
PoS Round One Vote - Saturday 3rd - Monday 5th Jan 2026
PoS Semi Final Vote - Tuesday 6th - Thursday 8th Jan 2026
PoS Final - Friday 9th to Sunday 11th Jan 2026 2026
And that will take us neatly into the start of the Australian Open 2026 (which starts on the 12th January!)
January 2026 PoM nominations will also open for business early in January 26.
The 2026 schedule will be posted once Player of the Season is all done and dusted and I have chance to work it all out

This weeks nominations mean that Lui is now on 4 nominations.
This makes him the second most non qualified player for PoS - per above, this is relevant as it has a small knock effect for the PoS situation in due course
Cam Norrie 6 Fran Jones 6 Julian Cash/ Lloyd Glasspool 6 Sonay Kartal 5 Alicia Dudeney 4 Henry Patten 4 Lui Maxted 4
With the nomination from Hadley just now, Julian and Lloyd go to 7 nominations and top of the tree!!
I have a list of 14 wild card nominations I plan to definitely make, and a few more I may dip into if others of mine are taken up already or if the list of nominations is smaller than I would like to see!!
Remember, anyone can nominate - and there is no limit to how many we nominate nor to how many nominations we have in total.
Depending on how many wildcards are needed, we will have the players sorted into random groups and then each group will provide one of the wild cards. As mentioned previously, I anticipate we will need 4 or 5 wild cards this year to round out the field, so 4 or 5 voting groups.
I say random, but they will be randomly allocated but with an intent to keep each group nicely stocked with players from the different categories (men/women, singles/doubles, juniors, college, wheelchair and other disabilities). Hopefully, each group will end up being nicely balanced in terms of composition!
So have a think and write some names down that you might nominate. I plan to try and do one nomination of my own each day for each of the 14 or so days the window is open. A sort of mini Christmas Wild cards advent calendar!!

Yes, I think be steady with your list to give room and time for the rest of us to consider which of our favourites are not yet in the PoS list and then to possibly construct WC nomination narratives. Be good to see plenty folk involved over time if not straight off the bat.

Definitely - I plan to sort of drip feed mine in, partly to ensure we end up with a good list and partly to encourage others with their inputs. Let's see how it goes!
When it comes to the wildcard nominations, one concern is narrative creep! We could end up with a lot of text and a big big thread / post length if things arent controlled a little. Im going to suggest a word limit per entry and looking at this months Pom nominations, about 50 words feels like a good mark. Im not going to police it tightly, Ill ask for self governance, but I think 50 should be enough for anyone to aim at as a max!?
Remember for the actual pos vote, as per previous seasons, there wont be narratives - Ill just post facts about each player and let people do their own research. If I try to write narratives for everyone, Ill be biased and farming it out will be cumbersome and haphazard!
