Oh Dan .. 4-2 up, 30 all, point goes against Dan (and was obscured from the camera position so I couldn't tell)

Discussion ensues with the Umpire but the point stands and Dan loses the game. Further discussion with the referee at the end of the game.

Dan loses first set 6-4 ..

I hope this is the kick up the backside he needs to focus on his game

This is certainly not a good start to the year. When I was watching it seemed same old Dan rallies, except that he wasn't forcing much, wasn't taking advantage of opportunities and was letting Elias back into the point too often ..

Perhaps Dan should consider the doubles route. I wonder if he might partner Neal Skupski as Im not convinced by his partnership with Joe who seems to have health issues and may not continue much longer.
