I hadnt been really checking before today, but I see Joe is way down to 42nd in the rankings. I hope whatever has ailed him the past 12 months or so, whether it be illness or form or injury, is something he can sort out. Clearly things started going awry last year. Problem for Neal is his ranking could fall also if they cant find form at some point and presumably this poor form is more around Joe (given the DC selection of Neal and not Joe) than Neal.
L16: (11) Julian Cash & Lloyd Glasspool CR 54 (31+23) beat Ariel Behar & Robert Galloway (URU/USA) CR 74 (42+32) by 6-3 3-6 7-6[11-9]
The guys were a little matter of *3-8 and 8-9* MP down in that deciding MTB.
Great to see albeit Julian in the course of it putting one over Robert Galloway, with whom he had such success over the last couple of years. Sorry, not sorry
L16: (6) Harri Heliövaara (FIN) & Henry Patten CR 27 (14+13) beat Austin Krajicek & Rajeev Ram (USA/USA) CR 72 (43+29) by 6-3 7-6(6)
Faffed about a bit in the TB, having *5-1 and *6-4 (2 MPs) leads bit got thw win :-
Henry is now sitting at live ranked 11, one more win will take him well into the top 10 to 8th at least. Maybe 7. With Koolhof retired, surprised he isnt out of the rankings so 11 is effectively 10 anyway!
Lloyd is back live top 20 now, Julian at a CH 23 and one more win would potentially see him go top 20 also.
Shifting of the British guard from Neal, Joe and Jamie to Henry, Lloyd and Julian? Maybe, hope Neal and the others make them fight for it.
