I am not sure it's so bad, apart from Hurcasz, Their 2nd player (Machyzrac, no doubt incorrectly spelt) has just pulled out of IW, their 3rd singles player is ranked 223. Their top doubles player is ranked 34, and they only have 3 doubles players in the top 100.

Maybe true / I didnt think too much when I read the draw, family crisis at home (Daughter told by boyfriend he was breaking up with tears aplenty- what a week or two its been).
but yes, in reflection, if we have a strong team this time we could do ok. Keen to see what surface Poland choose; clay obviously our weakest, but not sure its their strongest?
Poland played Korea at home, indoors, at the same stage last year and got soundly beaten. Hurkacz didnt play then and he also didnt play earlier this year versus Georgia. Not sure if hes not playing DC generally, but if he misses against GB, we will be strong favourites - and an indoor court would be good (if they liked clay, theyd have chosen it versus Korea, but chose indoor hard).
