Apart from Juan Monaco's advance, it's been a good day for Tim: Both Dlouhy and Sluiter were knocked out in the third round.
Tomorrow sees Monaco and Benneteau play their 3rd round matches: If they win, then Tim's down to 77th.
Apart from these two, the only worry is qualifier Martin Vassallo- Arguello, who started the week ranked 180, and who's already up to 109th. Semi- finals take him past Tim!
Arguello, 26 so he's already played 2 5 set matches so he going to suffer from fatigue, can't remember who he is playing though
Nalbandian in R4, then either Gaudio or Davydenko in the Quarters. If he gets to the Semis, from qualifying, after beating them, I for one won't resent Tim dropping a place.
Table updated for Saturday. Not the best of days for Tim. None of his competitors lost today: Benneteau beat Stepanek and advanced past Tim to number 68, knocking Tim down to 76th.
Ramirez- Hidalgo beat David Ferrer, and he's now about to become one of Andy's competitors.
Meanwhile Monaco has been taken into a fifth set by Ljubicic, who's a break ahead at 4-2. Fingers crossed that Croatia's finest can save Tim from losing that last place.
Simon Gruel's reached the final at Ettlingen. He's not a threat this week, but he's on form, and could well hold onto that form at Queens,
Juan Monaco's impressive progress at Roland Garros comes to an end after a five set match against Ljubicic
so Tim stays at 76th, with the only threat from qualifier Martin Vassallo-Arguello, who plays Nalbandian today, and then has to get past Gaudio or Davydenko to overtake Tim. If he manages that, I'm sure he'll be overtaking Andy & Greg pretty soon too!
Martin Vassallo Arguello is on court against Nalbandian. He's down two sets already. So good for Tim, if not for the romance of the French Open. Just one set to go David, and Tim can sit back & enjoy the tennis.
The only winner in Tim's universe today was Simon Gruel, who won the Ettlingen challenger, and advanced to 54 points behind Tim. Juan Monaco was knocked out of Roland Garros.
So Tim's end of week rank is 76.
Ahead of Tim, both Benneteau and Ramirez- Hidalgo play their fourth round matches tomorrow. R-H gets Monaco's (easy) victor, Ljubicic. Benneteau faces Martin.
Tomorrow also doubtless sees a lot of Challenger action around Tim. Once I've researched that, I'll update the table.

Great work Rob again !!! Thanks for the update !!!
There are six players from World of Tim(TM) who are competing in Challengers this week:
Robin Vik (playing at Prostejov), Florian Mayer(Furth) and Wesley Moodie(Surbiton) can all stretch their leads
Simon Greul (having just won the Ettlingen Challenger) and Alessio di Mauro can both overtake (by a point or two) if they win the Furth and Sassuolo Challengers respectively.
Jiri Vanek can close the gap playing at Furth.
Remember, Benneteau and Ramirez- Hidalgo play at Roland Garros today. Both can stretch their leads over Tim by winning their fourth round matches, and will overtake Andy if they make the Semis.
Early night at World of Tim(TM) Benneteau disappears up into Andy & Greg's range, and his showdown with Ljubicic. Ramirez- Hidalgo is beaten.........
......and there's no more of that pesky Grand Slam stuff here in the basement of the top 100.
Now onto the real action for the players who eke out a living down here: Challengers. No play today for any of Tim's competitors, but tomorrow should see a bunch of them in action
Ahead of Tim, Vik and Moodie both won. Vik advances another place.
Behind Tim, Alessio Di Mauro and Jiri Vanek are both knocked out.
Marcos Daniel made a big jump up the rankings by winning his second round match at the Czech open., Smon Gruel didn't play today but continues to threaten.
If Daniel and Gruel win their respective tournaments, Tim will be knocked back to 78th.
You are doing a sterling job, Rob. I have had to give up my own spreadsheet for the present as I just don't have time to chase all these Challenger results. I hope to start afresh next week for the grass season. Meantime, I will just follow yours!
