Smart bit of scheduling this on Mimis part. With most of the women of all ranks in Oz in one shape or form, a great opportunity to pick up some well deserved senior ranking points. Brings Mimi just inside the 500 mark. Bet she wants to get back to her CH of 424 as soon as she can.

I watched some of the match, Mimi wasn't phased by Stevanovic's game at all, she simply played her at her own game and did it better, mixing up topspin with slicing, sometimes slicing to the baseline and sometimes turning it into a drop shot. Mimi was very good at placing the ball so she had her opponent guessing all the time. Mimi didn't put a lot of power in her shots she was winning easily by placement and variation.

Thanks, it's great to have a summary of her tactics

That's a shame/concerning

She'd already pulled out of the J300 in Traralgon - so it can't be because she wants to get over for that (and it wouldn't make sense anyway)

Presumably some injury concern?

Nothing on Mimis socials yet. A shame, but still a good performance this week. Hope she is OK.
