Charlie was a little outpowered, I'm afraid. I'm surprised he didn't want to play Aussie juniors. I'm sure he's working on strengthening because there's a lot to like about him, his attitude and game style.

Patrick Brady comes through 6-4 7-5

Some nice sneaking in net play there, and good defence, as always

Ah, so he is; I thought he had one more year. Maybe college would be a good route to let his body develop a little further.

That's probably that for the Brit contingent:  Ben & James are both a set down against their respective pesky opponents, in James's case a break down in the second set as well.

FQR:  (q5) Patrick Zahraj (GER) WR 467 (CH = 454 last November) vs (q11) Liam Broady WR 546

JoMo and Ryan will be fascinating, I think, both in terms of the head to head and to take a view on where they both stand.

Henry was rather hanging on by the skin of his teeth in parts of that first set

But he played a blinder of a tie-break

Two super net points, and some really well-placed forceful hitting

One set to the good
