Other rumours or deals that look set to take place

Andriy Shevchenko looks set to be heading to Chavski but for a hefty fee and possibly with William Gallas swapping as the defender is unhappy at the club

Andy Johnson looks set to leave Crystal Palace for Bolton or Wigan for a likely price of £8.5m(absurd price!!!) although Everton are still in the hunt and have apparently matched the bid.

Arsenal and Tottenham have their sites set on Curtis Davies. I really hope we can sign this guy!!!

Wigan appear to have bought Chelsea defender Robert Huth (you know, the one that thinks he is a CF ) for £5.5m

Robert Pires has also left Arsenal after his contract ran out to join Villareal

Morientes has joined Spanish side, Villareal after the club had an undisclosed fee accepted by Liverpool

Tottenham look set to snap up Wigan right back, Pascal Chimbonda for a fee of about £3.5m

Yeah paying £8.5m for Andy Johnson is absurd. The most they should be paying for him at least is £5m imo. Just for one good season in the EPL and didn't exactly have a good season in the Championship this season. So why does this justify a tag of £8.5m is beyond me.

Heh.. It's Chelsea we are talking about here.. We all know how they pay well too much for players as they did for Drogba just because he had one good season.. I'd say the most they should be paying for Shevchenko at least is £20m at his age..

But still he's Milan's best player and 2nd in their all time list of top scorers so maybe they can put up his value I guess.. Plus Chelsea and Real Madrid will probably the only teams would pay that amount of money for a player at his age.

Also, the goal tally in the Premiership in 04/05 included a shedload of penalties. 8.5 mill is a lot to pay for that.
