Ryan still hasn't got the measure of the Frenchman:

SF:  (2) Arthur Géa (FRA) WR 444 defeated (3) Ryan Peniston WR 449 by 1 & 3  cry

He actually led by *3-1 in the second set...  hmm

I was expecting him to improve, and maybe he did, but he needs to rest and re-group to push on up

I suspect young Gea is not the best barometer. Still a bit inconsistent but at his best appears very good and likely to rise a lot higher in the rankings.

All the best to Ryan for a good ranking rise himself in 2025

As you rightly highlighted, Indy, Arthur Gea is an interesting case and possibly a bit of a red herring here

He's 19, was top-10 in juniors, and very promising and immediately won three adult titles, including at M25 level.

But then basically launched into 2024, only playing Challengers, expecting to do well....

He had some decent results but really was a little young/lightweight to really make an impact and has now dropped back to M15s, immediately winning two titles back to back.

He's caught slightly b'twixt and b'tween at the moment

But the titles here were not a surprise

Yes, 10 straight set wins in a row for Gea to take the Doha titles in these last 2 weeks. This week 60 games to 17.
