Well done Michael Shaw - at least Stuart won't be the only one of our men to score a singles point this week - hopefully someone else can make it a trio smile

Ryan P already had in Doha

Be good to see Stuart pushing back towards his career high in the mid 300s - hes got a title earlier this year, a good run here would be a great end to the season.

ITF player profile says he is ambidextrous as a player - anyone seen him play? Is that correct?

Would indeed be great to see Stuart pushing back towards his CH. Overall though I don't see that happening to much degree anytime soon, not next year anyway.

But a win or two more here and he can be our 20th man in the top 500. But I don't see him beating the 2nd seed so probably be just the 2 points for this week.

I bring you festive joy

But you may be justified - Stuart is currently a set down, but 6-5 up second set, maybe heading to a second set tie break

Indeed the second set went to a TB, which could have gone better

QF: (2) Ilia Simakin (***) WR 351 beat Stuart Parker WR 519 by 6-2 7-6(0)

And the same guy beats Stuart and Michael in doubles - no great shakes this week in Sharmh El Sheikh.

So Simakin completes the double over Stuart, this time with a little help from his doubles partner.  Hardly unexpected, given the rankings disparity & the doubles pedigree of that partner.
