OK it's my turn to try and beat tennisfacts! I'll put in my post just as soon as I've typed it out. I'll then try and add a version of RobC's table but no guarentees!!

The Queens/Halle/Challenger points to be defended are in brackets under the defending column. with (points-where from. 19th score ie replaced with) If anyone is confused either post it or pm me and I'll explain further.
(there is no 18th and 19th score this week as all are defending and all HAVE to count this tournament so they are not needed.) Italics mean has moved up today

Nah Tim made the 2nd round last year so it will be 35 pts he's defending.
As for Andy he could be just outside the top 32 in the rankings if he makes the 3rd round and if he does make the 4th he could just be inside the top 32.

Madeline has pointed out to me that the Halle and Queens points are to be defended during the French Open this year so I've altered the table to account for that. Unfortunately it means Andy drops back down a place in the running positions. (he is still 4 places higher than his starting position though!)

I think we will have to add back the 19th score if players are defending 2 tournaments though
I've done that, the 19th score (for those interested) in the second number in the brackets. For example. Andy is defending an extra 20 points from Queens. And his 19th is 15, so the brackets have (20-Q.19) Hope that makes sense.
I'll look at the challengers and do something with them this evening. Ahhh, where's RobC when you need him? I bet he's not really sailing just he started to do his table and then decided to run away

My spreadsheet is getting closer to being right but isn't quite there yet! I have the whole of tomorrow afternoon when I can sort it out so will do that and change my post! Sorry anyone out there getting really confused!

Ok. Now I think I've got my table sorted I can give a little preview of what's likely to happen rankings wise.
It could be either very costly or very good for Andy this week. He has five people within 30 points of him in both directions. Whilst we obviously need him to win as many matches as possible, much of what happens to the rankings will depend on how everyone around him does. This is where we can help... pins at the ready please for:
greg (but only halfheartedly, he is a Brit after all); Malisse; Vliegen; Scrichapan; Almagro; Youznhy; Santoro; Serra; Simon and Lopez.
And for those of you with extra evilness left over, Mirnyi, Moya, Soderling and Horna are all a bit too close for comfort.
Hopefully this will be a bad French Open for people around Andy in the rankigs
Edit: I forgot to say that in the first round, in 2 matches two of Andy's competitors fight it out. However in 7 matches (including Andy's) one of the competitors plays against someone just above or below the table.

Andy is currently at 42 in the rankings. However, if he wins tomorrow he will gain at least 4 places in the table (by overtaking Greg, Malisse and Vliegen and Youzhny presuming he loses rd2).
Pins into Chela (just above Andy), Simon, Santoro and Serra all of whom we despreately need to lose their rd1 matches.
If Andy loses tomorrow then he could easily lose lots of places so lets hope that doesn't happen!
