Well played Ms. Burrage. Hitting the ground running in her return weeks.
For ITF GB women's singles titles at or above $25K/W35 since the year 2000:
It is the first time we've Won 2 $100K/W100 in a calendar year (Burrage, Kartal) - We did win a $100K & $100K+H in 2014 (Watson both titles)
The two titles at or above $100K/W100 equals our previous best of 2014 (see 1 above)
6 titles at or above $50K/W50 is our best haul ( {2@W100: Burrage, Kartal}, {3@W75:Jones, Miyazaki (2)}, {1@W50: Watson}) Previous best was 4 in both 2010 (Baltacha (2), Konta, Watson) & 2008 (Baltacha , Keothavong (3))
The 5 titles in that set (see 3, above) at or above $75K/W75 is also a GB best
8 different players won titles at this level (Bains, Burrage, Jones, Kartal, Miyazaki, Stojsavljevic, Watson, Xu) - also a best, beating the 7 of 2022 (Appleton, Boulter, Brogan, Kartal, Miyazaki, Silva, Swan)
Miyazaki is the first Brit to get 2 or more titles >=$50K/W50 since Konta in 2015. It happened on 5 other occasions. Keothavong (in 2008, as 3 above) the only Brit to have won 3 such titles in a single calendar year.
And many more similar bests for the GB Women without even counting the impressive year also in WTA events.
Well done. In one sense at least then, bring on 2025.
I wish (as do I am sure Katie and Jodie) that there were more events on indoor hard court. Our women are better without the elements.
Nothing, as CD says, this was an outdoor event; nonetheless, its a shame the indoor season has got squeezed and squeezed. The womens WTA season has been obliterated really - only a few years ago, events like Linz, Zurich, Finderstadt, a couple in Russia, Canada and one or two others finished the year off well.

Katie won two titles above W100 this year, a WTA500 and a WTA250, so the two titles by Burrage and Kartal makes a total of 4 at or above W100 this year.

Many past years, such as when Watson & Konta won WTA titles; or Raducanu's Slam; would also gain numbers. Also, we'd need to include Kartal's WTA title this year.

On top of all that, Jodie's return has been the tipping point in GB women setting a new 'Strongest Nation' mark - a new best this century ( and at least well before ) total top 10 GB rankings of 1603 ( ended 2023 on a top 10 total of 2025 ).
Been a very good year for our women !

Maybe GB womens team as a whole need a wildcard nomination for player of the season ?! What would cause mayhem! Ps dont please it would create a right old mess I think!
