Not sure re history and this may or may not be another Brandon Walkin style question - Carl Holder shows on ITF as British but on ATP, they show him as French; Live Tennis also has him as French. But the TNNS app has him as British.

So seems similar uncertainty in the apps as there is around Brandon Walkin...

Any clues? And should we not count Brandon as British until otherwise stated if we are counting Carl as British (although there may be good insights into Carls background, so I apologise in advance if the ATP and LiveTennis have this wrong!

I count Carl as British because I've seen him play in GB and pretty sure I talked with one of his family (dad?)

And Core and UTR and sensible places have him as British

And, anyway, the boy's a Londoner !!! Just listen to him

Cool, sounds good to me - where does the French connection come in? Looking at his activity on ITF site, his junior events were split largely between UK and France, his pro events have been largely Monastir

Until Jon sowed the seeds of doubt earlier, I'd been taking the ITF "flagging" as gospel & working on the basis that he was British (never even bothered to check his ATP profile) & he certainly sounds English on that You Tube clip.  However, that very same clip describes him as "Carl Holder from France"!  And then there's this...  An impeccable French source, I'd have said, & his Instagram account says he's a French tennis player who "chase[s] yellow balls for a living" (can't provide a solid link, as I haven't an account), so I guess it's all back up in the air, unless someone can come up with incontrovertible evidence one way or the other!  confuse
